A Mobile App for ICDL in Zimbabwe.

 

 

ICDL or the International Computer Driving License is an internationally recognized computer literacy certification. It is owned and run by the European Computer Driving License Foundation (ECDL) headquartered in Dublin, Ireland. In Zimbabwe, the ICDL program is administered by The Computer Society of Zimbabwe (CSZ) under license from the ECDL Foundation.

CSZ wanted a mobile application that they could use for communication with their various centers, testers, and students across the country. The mobile app for ICDL features a news section, where important announcements are published, keeping stakeholders abreast with the latest development regarding ICDL. Whenever news articles are published, users receive push notifications on their smartphones.

 

 

Users of the mobile app are able to view the various ICDL modules on offer. They can view descriptions of the modules as well as download copies of the syllabi in PDF format.

Prospective ICDL candidates can also use the app to find a list of the various ICDL Accredited Test Centers (ATCs). Using the integrated Google Map, they can locate those test centers nearest to them, providing unparalleled convenience.

Users are able to quickly access the contact details of ICDL accredited centers as well as the contact information for the Computer Society of Zimbabwe.

CSZ took things to another level by bringing the ICDL profile card online. This means that ICDL candidates can access and edit all their profile card information right in the palm of their hand. It has never been easier to research ICDL, find test centers, and become certified with a digital skills qualification recognized the world over.
